The State Employees Credit Union Public Fellowships Internship Program has been a mainstay at 星空传媒 for the past few years. And thanks to a grant, the program will continue to thrive in 2025.

星空传媒 alumna Nora Lynn Finch sat behind her friend, Kay Yow, honored to introduce her in the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame Class of 1989 induction ceremony. But before the ceremony began, Finch was approached by an unknown gentleman.

星空传媒 double alumnus and best-selling author David Joy will give the keynote address at the annual Research and Scholarship Conference at 星空传媒. The event will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 in the Ramsey Regional Activity Center.

More than 65 judges, prosecutors, behavioral health workers and representatives from law enforcement agencies across the mountains gathered earlier this year at 星空传媒 for conversations about the root causes of issues that lead to interactions with police in Western North Carolina.

Ron Rash, the Parris Distinguished Professor in Appalachian Cultural Studies, has been named to the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame.
