Biography

Dr. Yang Zhang holds both Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University.<br><br>In the classroom, Dr. Zhang is highly passionate about transforming engineering education through innovative, hands-on pedagogy and active learning strategies. Guided by the philosophy that "interest is the best teacher," he strives to design engaging curricula that bridge the gap between complex theoretical concepts and real-world engineering applications. By fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, Dr. Zhang aims to ignite students' curiosity, inspire critical thinking, and prepare the next generation of engineers to tackle the evolving challenges.<br><br>As a dedicated researcher in the field of advanced manufacturing, Dr. Zhang’s work focuses primarily on the cutting-edge developments of additive manufacturing. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed papers in widely recognized, high-impact academic journals and prominent international conference proceedings. Beyond his research, Dr. Zhang contributes significantly to the scientific community by serving as an active reviewer for various prestigious journals.
