Biography
Dr. Yang Zhang holds both Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees in Industrial
Engineering from Texas Tech University.

In the classroom, Dr. Zhang is highly
passionate about transforming engineering education through innovative, hands-on pedagogy
and active learning strategies. Guided by the philosophy that "interest is the best
teacher," he strives to design engaging curricula that bridge the gap between complex
theoretical concepts and real-world engineering applications. By fostering an inclusive
and stimulating learning environment, Dr. Zhang aims to ignite students' curiosity,
inspire critical thinking, and prepare the next generation of engineers to tackle
the evolving challenges.

As a dedicated researcher in the field of advanced
manufacturing, Dr. Zhang’s work focuses primarily on the cutting-edge developments
of additive manufacturing. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed
papers in widely recognized, high-impact academic journals and prominent international
conference proceedings. Beyond his research, Dr. Zhang contributes significantly to
the scientific community by serving as an active reviewer for various prestigious
journals.
