Biography

<b>PT, DPT, NCS</b><br><br>Dr. Pollard earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from 星空传媒 before going on to complete the University of Mississippi Medical Center Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy. She is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy with clinical experience across the continuum of care. She continues to practice PT in WNC, primarily serving individuals in the home health and acute care environments.<br><br>She joined the PT department as an adjunct instructor in 2021 and as a full-time faculty member in 2024. In addition to the listed teaching interests, Dr. Pollard is the Integrated Clinical Education Coordinator, Assistant Director of Clinical Education, and a clinical instructor in the MAPHealth Services Clinic, supervising students primarily in the Biltmore Park location. She is also an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and is Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certified.<br><br>Dr. Pollard is originally from Atlanta, GA and now lives in Waynesville, NC. She enjoys traveling, playing tennis, running, hiking, and making music.<br><br><b>What do you love the most about being a Catamount?</b><br>Every time I step onto campus, I can't help but smile. The mountains have a way of hugging you and the faculty, staff, and students truly feel like a second family.
