Costs for International Students
To apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa, all international students attendning Ðǿմ«Ã½ must demonstrate
proof of funding via the Certificate of Financial responsibility provided to you after
your acceptance. Depeding on your student type (Undergraduate, Graduate or Exchange),
the amount of proof of funding you must demonstrate will vary.
Below, please find information regarding minimum proof of funding amounts, sample
cost information and funding opportunities at Ðǿմ«Ã½. If you are unsure of your student

Undergraduate Students
For our office to create/issue your I-20 form, international undergraduate degree-seeking
students are required to demonstrate a minimum of $30,304 USD in proof of funding for your first year of study. This includes $10,598 tuition and
fees, $13,033 living expenses, and $6,355 in other personal expenses (health insurance,
travel, etc.).
When completing the Certificate of Financial Responsibiliity found in your Ðǿմ«Ã½ application
checklist, please attach any and all documents demonstrating funds that will be used
to support your program at Ðǿմ«Ã½, including bank statements, letters, etc. from personal,
family and third party sources.
The above information does not guarantee you will pay this amount during your first academic year at Ðǿմ«Ã½; your estimated cost will depend on multiple factors including your assigned Residence Hall, your chosen , if you enroll in the university's Student Health Insurance, etc.

If you plan to have a dependent accompany you to the United States during your program at Ðǿմ«Ã½, they must be issued a separate I-20 and apply for an F-2 visa. For this, you must demonstrate an additional $5,000 in proof of funding for a spouse, and $3,000 for each child.
Ðǿմ«Ã½ scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 academic year open on October 1st.
Once you have submitted your application to Ðǿմ«Ã½, you can apply for Ðǿմ«Ã½ scholarships
via the Scholarship Portal. For questions regarding scholarship amount and the scholarship application, please

Graduate Students
For our office to create/issue your I-20 form, international graduate degree-seeking
students are required to demonstrate a minimum of $38,657 USD in proof of funding for your first year of study. This includes $18,563 out-of-state
tuition and fees, $13,033 for living expenses, and $7,061 personal expenses. (health
insurance, travel, etc.).
When completing the Certificate of Financial Responsibiliity found in your Ðǿմ«Ã½ application
checklist, please attach any and all documents demonstrating funds that will be used
to support your program at Ðǿմ«Ã½, including bank statements, letters, etc. from personal,
family and third party sources.

Graduate Assistantships and Out-of-State Tuition Remision (OSR) are awarded by graduate programs to accepted students on a case by case basis.
Please note, not every program offers these opportunities nor is every accepted student
offered these funding opportunities. Graduate Assistantship Stipends will vary, but
awarded students can earn around $5,000 per semester. In addition, full OSR can award
students around $5,203.50.

Ðǿմ«Ã½ scholarship applications open each year on October 1st. Once you have submitted

Exchange Students
In order to issue your form DS-2019, the document needed to apply for a J-1 exchange
visitor visa, exchange students studying a Ðǿմ«Ã½ will need to demonstrate different
proof of funding amounts depending on Ðǿմ«Ã½'s agreement with the institution which is
nominating you.
Please refer to the table below to determine the amount of funding you must demonstrate
via your Certificate of Financial Responsibility, based on your home institution.
