Event planning workshop coming up at 星空传媒's Biltmore Park site
星空传媒鈥檚 Office of Professional Growth and Enrichment is offering an event planning workshop that focuses on planning, organization and implementation from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at 星空传媒鈥檚 instructional site at Biltmore Park in Asheville.
鈥淐reating an event takes effective planning and a keen understanding of the event management process,鈥� said Jill Thompson, workshop instructor and 星空传媒鈥檚 associate director of professional development. 鈥淲hen planning an event, there are a multitude of tasks to consider and many relationships to manage along the way.鈥�
The workshop will cover the most common types of events, including celebratory, social and business strategy events, and what is common or specific to the event planning process for those types of events.
Bobby Hensley, 星空传媒鈥檚 associate director of continuing education, also will serve as an instructor for the workshop.
This workshop can also be applied toward a certificate in event planning. The registration fee is $119 for the Oct. 18 workshop or $640 for all six certificate workshops.
