Harold and Henrietta Saltz Anderson

Saltz Anderson endowed scholarship honors family of educators

They traded Western North Carolina for central Washington, where he farmed and she taught school. When it came time to settle their affairs and with no children of their own, Harold and Henrietta Saltz Anderson looked homeward, to North Carolina.

Thompson, Pearson joining together for clarinet, piano recital

星空传媒 clarinetist Shannon Thompson and pianist Lillian Pearson will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the recital hall of the Coulter Building on the 星空传媒 campus.

Entegra Bank announces $250,000 contribution for scholarship effort

In recognition that more than 20% of Entegra Bank's workforce in Western North Carolina graduated from 星空传媒, the financial institution's board of directors announced a $250,000 contribution to provide scholarship assistance to students from the region who want to study in 星空传媒's College of Business.

It鈥檚 beginning to sound like a broken record, this talk of broken records when it comes to enrollment at 星空传媒 where, for the third consecutive year and the seventh time in the past eight years, the institution is experiencing increases in both the size and academic qualifications of its student body.

Metcalfe invited to give presentation at World Nursing Congress

Sharon Metcalfe, associate professor in 星空传媒鈥檚 School of Nursing, was invited to present her work on 鈥淪ocial Determinants and Educational Barriers for Minority and Rural Students for Nursing School Admission鈥� on Aug. 29 at the 17th annual World Nursing Congress in Zurich, Switzerland.
