Ðǿմ«Ã½ Passport Services is open to Ðǿմ«Ã½ students, employees, and the greater community as a whole. We look forward to guiding you through the passport application process.
Our office offers appointments for first-time passports, first-time adult (18+ years old) passports, and renewal of older passports (expired 5+ years).
If you have previously applied for a passport you may be able to renew online or by mail. Review eligibility and requirements at .

| Proof of Citizenship |
Visit travel.state.gov to review a list of all allowable types of citizenship evidence. Documents must be original or certified physical copies. A certified copy is a document that has the seal or stamp of the official issuing authority. You cannot submit digital evidence of U.S. citizenship such as information on a mobile app or an electronic birth certificate. We will send all original documentation with your application. Your original documentation will be mailed back to you by the U.S. State Department. |

| Proof of Identity |
Visit travel.state.gov to review a full list of allowable identification documentation. The most common form of physical, photo identification is a fully-valid driver's license. You must present original identification documents (IDs) to the acceptance agent. The ID must readily identify you. Some states have digital ID documents, mobile driver's licenses, or mobile IDs. We cannot accept these digital IDs when you apply for your U.S. passport. If you are applying with documentation from outside North Carolina, you must bring a second form of supporting ID to support your application. |

| Passport Fee Payment |
Passport fees and the facility fee MUST be separate payments and cannot be combined into one method of payment. If applying as a group, each applicant must have separate payment on hand. Fees cannot be combined. We can only accept personal checks, cashier's checks, and money orders. Money orders may be obtained at the US Post Office, banks, credit unions and many grocery stores. We cannot accept cash or credit cards. If paying with a money order, leave the "pay to" field blank. This will be completed as part of your appointment.
