Art and Art History

The B.A. allows students to gain a foundation in both studio art and art history, and then select a variety of upper level elective courses, focusing on their own areas of interest.
Students in the B.A. program also choose a second major or minor, and a foreign language,
allowing them to make connections between art and other areas of study, and to understand
art in the context of a larger world.
The program is enhanced by the presence of the Fine Art Museum at Ðǿմ«Ã½, which offers an exciting exhibition program, visiting artist series and the possibility
of student internships and courses in museum practices.
Our library has an extensive collection of art books and magazines as well as subscriptions to important image databases and on-line scholarly resources.
