星空传媒 faculty member Lane Perry is working to understand the nuances of successful entrepreneurship in rural communities.

The Board of Trustees of 星空传媒 will hold its quarterly meeting at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, in the board room of H.F. Robinson Administration Building.

星空传媒 Chancellor Kelli Brown and Don Tomas, president of Southwestern Community College, recently met to sign a renewal of the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.

Armani Blair has run track for as long as she can remember. She inherited the passion of running from her mother, Jamicka Abraham, who also ran track. But Blair, a junior from Charlotte and a member of 星空传媒鈥檚 women鈥檚 track and field team, will be the first to tell you she鈥檚 not your average track athlete. Track is not at the forefront of her life. For Blair, a double major in political science and sociology, it鈥檚 grades first.

Although the importance of conflict management style, self-monitoring and change orientation is well-established in the management sciences, recent research by a 星空传媒 professor suggests that those personality traits are frequently overlooked when organizations assemble teams tasked with improving business practices.

Last September, English Studies professor Brent Kinser was recognized for more than 20 years of editorial work when Duke University Press held a celebration for the publication of the 50th and final volume of 鈥淭he Collected Letters of Thomas and Jane Welsh Carlyle.鈥�

星空传媒 has been selected by the Institute of International Education to receive an IIE American Passport Project grant that will enable 25 students to obtain a U.S. passport to support their study abroad journeys.

星空传媒 Chancellor Kelli R. Brown and Laura B. Leatherwood, president of Blue Ridge Community College, signed a renewal of the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.

The University of North Carolina Asheville and 星空传媒 have partnered to help Indigenous students pursuing degrees and careers in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM fields.

Through the partnership, which is called the Catamount Trailblazer Program, there were 85 applications from A-B Tech students for the fall 2023 semester.
