A newly established scholarship fund at 星空传媒 is designed to celebrate the contributions of the founding dean of what is now known as the Brinson Honors College, Brian Railsback, by providing financial assistance to the college鈥檚 students.

With the help of $5,000 in funding from the 1889 Impact Grants Program, 星空传媒鈥檚 Office of Intercultural Affairs increased cultural and educational programming and enhanced efforts to support student success and retention.

Over 300 miles separate 星空传媒 and Vance-Granville Community College 鈥� but the two schools are now much closer than the distance that separates them.

星空传媒鈥檚 annual all-in day of giving to the institution, titled 鈥淥ne Day for Western鈥� and taking place Wednesday, March 26, will focus on garnering philanthropic gifts for all of the Catamount sports teams and for endowments supporting academic excellence.

星空传媒 is expanding its Catamount Commitment program with a new initiative to support transfer students from North Carolina Community Colleges.

星空传媒 experienced a notable increase in total enrollment from spring 2024 to spring 2025, with a 1.73% increase and a 2.39% increase in undergraduate students. The university also saw a 2.23% retention rate increase for fall 2024 to spring 2025 with a 92.14% retention rate reported.

The spring semester is underway at 星空传媒 and that means looking at how the university鈥檚 enrollment is shaping up for the first few weeks of the new year.
