
Prospective Student Employees

*Before applying, make sure you are eligible to work as a student employee at Ðǿմ«Ã½.
Students must be enrolled for a minimum number of credit hours during the term in
which they want to work and maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA. Hiring departments may require a higher GPA.
- For undergraduate students, the minimum number of credit hours is six in the fall and spring semesters and three in the summer.
- For graduate students, the minimum number of credit hours is five in the fall and spring semesters and three in the summer.
- Ensure you have the following:
- Documentation to complete your (authorization to work in the U.S.)
- A U.S. bank account for direct deposit purposes
- Graduate students may be eligible to receive a teaching or research assistantship. An assistantship is a paid academic appointment that involves graduate students employed 10-20 hours per week in a teaching or research capacity. Assistantships are limited and interested students are encouraged to contact their graduate program director.
- The Federal Work-Study program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, allows students to earn money while gaining valuable work experience. Visit the Office of Financial Aid for information on eligibility and requirements.
