*The costs listed above are for the full 33 month program excluding fees for health
insurance - all UNC system students are required to have health insurance and must
provide proof of coverage. Students may be covered under another policy (e.g. spouse
or parent).
**Graduate Students that are from out of state may become eligible for residency after
1 year of living in NC and then pay the in-state rate during years 2 and 3.
The attached document provides a current estimate of the total program costs for both In-State and Out-of-State students, as well as the per year breakdown of expenses for the program. Note: the estimate includes cost of health insurance through the university, which makes the cost of the program appear higher. Health insurance is required by the UNC System; however, students can be insured outside of the univesity (e.g. parents or spouse).
